What teachers can and can't see in CourseWing

Teachers get evidence of learning without reading over students' shoulders. Here's exactly what they see.

Students study more honestly when they aren't performing for an audience. Teachers still need to know who is stuck and what to reteach. CourseWing is designed around both.

Receipts

Every tutoring session ends in a receipt: the topic, what the student did well, where they struggled and what may need reteaching. Receipts are written without quoting the student and contain no transcript.

The class pulse and profiles

Receipts roll up into a class pulse, with who's engaging, shared sticking points and what students asked about most, and into a profile for each student.

Flagged sessions

When a session looks like answer-seeking on graded work, it's flagged into a private review queue. A teacher can open an excerpt of a flagged session, and every unlock is recorded on the receipt.

What teachers don't see

Teachers can't browse students' conversations, and the class assistant can't read them at all. Students are told all of this in the product, and if they ask the tutor, it answers honestly.
