The agreement between you and CourseWing LLC for using CourseWing. Effective October 7, 2026.
These terms govern your use of coursewing.org and the CourseWing app at app.coursewing.org ("CourseWing"), provided by CourseWing LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using CourseWing, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
You must be at least 13 years old, or use CourseWing through a school that has authorized it. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf unless your school provides CourseWing to you.
Keep your login details secure and tell us right away if you think someone else is using your account. You're responsible for activity on your account.
CourseWing is designed to help you learn your coursework. Follow your school's academic integrity rules and your teacher's instructions about AI. Teachers can set how much help the tutor gives on each assignment, and sessions that look like answer-seeking may be flagged for your teacher.
Tutor replies are generated by AI and can be wrong. Check important information against your course materials and your teacher. CourseWing is not a substitute for your teacher's instruction or grading.
Don't use CourseWing to break the law, harass others, access accounts or data that aren't yours, interfere with the service, or try to get around the help levels and safeguards set by your teacher.
You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You give us permission to store and process it to provide CourseWing to you and your school, as described in our privacy policy.
When you connect Google Classroom or Canvas, you authorize us to read your course information as described in our privacy policy. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms.
We may update, change or discontinue features. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. You can stop using CourseWing and ask us to delete your account at any time.
CourseWing is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, CourseWing LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to CourseWing is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.
If we change these terms, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use CourseWing after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
